On October 16, 2024, under the guidance of the Titanium Zirconium Hafnium Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the International Titanium Association of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), the Forum on Titanium Industry Development Between China and CIS hosted by the Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metals Research and Baoji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. was held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The conference focused on the development status and trend of international basic research, process technology and industrial application in the field of titanium alloys, and brought together many high-level talents in the field of titanium alloys to discuss the latest progress and application prospects of titanium alloy technology.

The forum lasted for 4 days, with a total of 8 parallel sessions, more than 150 branch reports. Around 1,000 scholars and experts from home and abroad focus on titanium and titanium alloy smelting technology, titanium alloy processing technology, titanium alloy composition-structure-performance, titanium intermetallic compounds and titanium matrix composite materials, titanium alloy special forming technology, titanium alloy functionalization and surface modification, titanium alloy calculation and simulation, titanium alloy special equipment and new field applications. Zhang Le, engineer and project manager of Xi’an Taijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., gave an invite report on “development of key equipment for manufacturing high-strength and ultra-thin copper foil” at the parallel session of titanium alloy special equipment and new field applications.

Together with other subsidiaries of the Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metals Research, TJNE actively participated in the forum exhibition. At the exhibition, our company introduced in detail the various titanium electrodes, electrolytic cells and complete sets of equipment currently produced to many experts and scholars from home and abroad, and at the same time elaborated on the advanced technology and wide application of these products. In the process of introduction and exchange, we fully understood the current research trends and technical needs of the industry. Experts and scholars also showed strong interest and high attention to the different applications of titanium electrodes of TJNE.

The CIS titanium industry has an important influence in the international titanium field. This forum is the first titanium industry forum between China and the CIS under the new situation, and it is also a grand forum for extensive exchanges between enterprises and scientific research workers in the field of titanium on both sides, and a long-term mechanism will be formed in the future to promote the in-depth exchanges and common development of the titanium industry of both sides.
